Pregnancy Supplements

We recognize that supplements play a vital role in the holistic journey of pregnancy. In a world full of noise and overwhelming choices, our goal is to replace uncertainty with clarity—offering guidance tailored to your unique needs. These are the supplements we trust and recommend, but we’re always here to adapt and walk alongside you, every step of the way.

Vitamin D3 5,000 IU daily with K2. (Look at the amount that is in your prenatal vitamin. Adjust your dosage taking into account what you are already getting from your prenatal vitamin).  Increasing your Vitamin D to 6,400 IU per day postpartum will provide your baby with adequate Vitamin D.

DHA 500mg daily. DHA’s critical role in fetal brain, eye, and nervous system development makes it an important part of our suggested supplements.

Probiotic - 1 dose daily. The Femdophilus brand is a great probiotic to help promote good vaginal flora.

Prenatal vitamin with methylated folate. This brand offers methylated folate as part of its focus, though other brands also carry similar products with methylated folate.

Consider Magnesium Calm daily at night. Follow dosing instructions. This aids in good sleep, muscle relaxation, keeping bowels regular and your uterus quiet from cramping. Men can take it too!

Immune Support

(for when exposed to illness during pregnancy)

Echinacea 300-500mg 3 times a day in capsule or tablet form or 2.5-5ml of tincture 3 times daily for 7 days. (Avoid if you have auto-immune conditions). SHOULD ONLY BE TAKEN FOR 7 DAYS IN A ROW.

NAC 500-600mg per day. Research suggests NAC can improve placental blood flow, reduce oxidative stress in high-risk pregnancies

Zinc 10-25mg/day for 7 days. Zinc helps the body produce and activate immune cells, which is crucial for fighting off colds, flu, and other infections. SHOULD ONLY BE TAKEN FOR 7 DAYS IN A ROW.

Pregnancy increases oxidative stress, and even more so when you're ill. Vitamin C neutralizes free radicals and protects maternal and fetal cells from damage. Vitamin C 2000mg/day when pregnant. Up to 10,000 a day when NOT pregnant.

**Elderberry and Quercetin are not recommended in pregnancy.

**Zinc and echinacea should only be taken for 7 days in a row
