A certified nurse midwife (CNM) is a licensed healthcare provider with advanced training in both nursing and midwifery. CNMs are certified to provide a full range of care, including pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and general reproductive health. CNMs are trained to collaborate with physicians as needed.

A home birth is a planned experience in a familiar, comfortable setting, attended by one of our skilled midwives and a registered nurse. Safety is always prioritized, with clear plans in place if a transfer to a hospital is needed.

At Eden, we see our patients as active partners in their care. Informed consent involves open, respectful communication about options, risks, and preferences. We value collaboration between the patient and the provider, honoring the patient’s voice and values throughout pregnancy and birth.

Our birth package includes the following:

• Complete prenatal care with routine scheduling

• Support and education throughout care

• Home birth

• Postpartum care up to 5 visits

• Well baby care for up to two weeks

Yes! Our midwives are certified, trained, and equipped to prescribe medication and to take labs. CNMs are trained in holistic methods but can also provide prescriptions and medications as needed.
