Sarah became a nurse over 10 years ago solely with the intent of supporting women. Since moving to the NWA area in 2021, she has been thrilled to be able to fulfill this dream in many capacities. Her career here began at the hospital in the postpartum field; then labor and delivery, and most recently NICU. She has a passion for teaching about the birth process, supporting physiological birth during labor, and holding space for and reminding women of their strength, light and beauty through each step of the journey. She also loves facilitating bonding between mom and baby, and helping with breastfeeding. She has a passion for supporting natural birth and being in the home birth environment. Sarah has loved working for the Eden Birth and Wellness team since joining in 2023. She is grateful to work alongside such amazing women who play a valuable role in building up the beautiful birthing community in this area.
Sarah is married and has four children. Her last two children were born at home while living in Puerto Rico. She was greatly impacted by those births and by the light and love of the midwife that delivered them. The care she received during that time will continue to motivate how she provides care for other women throughout her life and career.
Sarah loves being outside; her favorite activities include running, hiking, biking and rock climbing. When Sarah is not at a birth, you will find her most likely doing one of these things with her family or enjoying life on their small 5 acre farm in Southern Missouri.
